The restaurant is on the 40th floor of the heron tower in Central London, and requires a rather stomach turning flight in a glass lift to reach it.
Their menu is designed for sharing, so share we did.
First up was the Dorset crab with pickled apple and pea shoots.
Second to arrive was octopus with chorizo and new potatoes.
Closely followed by goats cheese and porcini mushroom flatbread.
And to finish off we had to go for the signature Duck and Waffle.
This comes with a maple syrup sauce which we drizzled over the whole dish. The sweetness of the syrup,
combined with the crispy duck and the softness of the egg and waffle... I can't describe how good this dish is. Definitely my favourite of the night.
We also had a portion of crispy pigs ears which I didn't get a photo of, but they arrive in a brown paper bag with a D&W wax stamp, and are strips of amazingly crunchy BBQ flavoured crackling. YUM!
The restaurant is open 24 hours a day and upon leaving the concierge recommended we stop by in a months time at 4.30am for breakfast whilst watching the sunrise. I'm still waiting to do this!
